The Dove

Up above we see a bird in flight. It's been injured. It's left wing is damaged.

It's painted white, perhaps to symbolise a dove which would suggest a further symbol of peace. And under the circumstances, peace has been wounded. Probably mortally wounded.

It's perhaps imnteresting to note that the body of the bird which has been painted white, appears to be composed in the shape of an aeroplane. The attack on Guernica was performed by pilots in aeroplanes. The bombs eminanted from these machines.

Perhaps the 'Crippled Lady' is looking up at the aeroplane in this painting. Perhaps too, the horse might be and even the Lady with the Oil Lamp may be too. It would make sense.
