General Franco

IIt is very surprising to me that having so clearly depcited unlaterring characatures of such joint protagonists as Hitler and Mussolini that there should also not be one of the main protagonist, General Francisco Franco.

I have certainly searched hard and have come to the following conclusions:

Picasso didn't manage to fit him in at all due to time constraints

Picasso was already having to rush the painting to complete it in time for the Paris Expo for which it was intended. So, if he hadn't already woven a hidden image of Franco, he simply ran out of time to integrate him into the picture as a 'hidden' image. And it's for this reason, possibly, that I can't find him.

Picasso started but didn't finish

Perhaps Picasso had begun to form an image of Franco this way but again, the absence of time, made it impossible to finish. I focused my search in the area around...err hummm... the horses anus. Both Hitler and Mussolini share this pivotal point. If Franco was hidden in this picture, it is quite likely that it would also have a pivotal point there too tp form this trio of tyrants. And there is some evidence to support the emergance or the unfinished construction of what might have been Franco but just wasn't finished.

Including an image of Franco was likely to require the image being at substantial angle variance (ie it may be painted upside down or at near right angles as some were). This would make the prospect of weaving in such an image doubly harder to do to avoid impacting what was already produced.

It's there but I just haven't found it

Perhaps he has included a hidden image of Franco, it's just that neither I nor anyone else that I have researched has managed to find him.

Maybe you can see if you can find him... Let me know if you do find anything...
