What's New?

Picasso's Guernica is not only iconic, it has become to define Picasso himself. Outraged on learning about the attrocity inflicted upon the townsfolk of Guernica, he set about the journey to complete his most famous painting. Full of symbolism, metaphors, anecdotes and hidden images... the painting has attracted attention since it was first unveiled as the Spanish entry in the Paris World Exhibition. Since then, the painting itself has become a metaphor for the terror of wars and it has too attracted the interests of amateur art students such as myself to make sense of the the painting...

I've produced a dedicated area in this site to focus of the elements that have attracted me and, along with so many others, submit my interpretation of this great work.
