Mono Colour

The original painting was painted in balck and white monochrome grey scale.

Yes, I know... the picture that I have created, has some colour (burnt umber, turquiose and black & white)...

It was painted without colour to represent the black and white presentation of a newspaper at the time.

The fur depicted on the horse is also intended to represent the monotonous typeset of a printed newspaper report from which Picasso learned of the attack and the results of it.

In fact, it is reported that it was in fact Dora Maar who helped out and painted the fur on the horse.
